Hungry Hollow

Finally taking some good photos of my work for my grad school portfolio, and found this little piece that never made it to DA. It's an accordion book with three layers that I made in my artist's book class junior year of RISD. Just a pen drawing, but it was fun to do dimensionally.

For a while I was working on a story (or stories, or something) revolving around a place called Hungry Hollow, and this was a scene for it. The woman is writing whatever's being dictated to her by the three birds that sit on her hat...and the little critters that live in the woods are, well, eating them. Or something.

I still really like Hungry Hollow, maybe I'll pick it back up eventually. Too many stories rattling around in my head.
